2020/2021 AA Tryouts

All players wishing to play AA must register online directly throughRingette Manitoba's website, not with their local association. Manual registrations will not be accepted.

Registrations open March 16, 2020 and close on March 31, 2020 (11:59pm) for a fee of $90.00 plus GST.

*Late registrations received from March 31 to April 3 will be assessed an additional $100.00 late fee.

Absolutely NO registrations will be accepted after April 3rd.

The AA tryouts for the 2020 - 2021 season will be held from April 17th- 27th at Oak Bluff Arena.

ANY ATHLETE WISHING TO PLAY IN THE AA PROGRAM MUST REGISTER AND ATTEND TRYOUTS.

If a player is unable to attend tryouts they will be excused for the following reasons only:

-family death or health emergency

-school sanctioned event (not including the high school ringette    tournament)

-sickness or injury, accompanied by a doctor's note

-religious beliefs

All notifications of absenteeism must be submitted in writing to the tryout coordinator, Cari Hunter (aatryouts@ringettemanitoba.ca) as soon as you are aware of the absence. The AA committee will determine a fair evaluation for these players. However, if an athlete does not attend tryouts for the reasons noted above their score could prevent their placement on a AA team.

U14 AA - (Born 07 / 08) - We anticipate having 4 teams at the U14 age level

U16 AA - (Born 05 / 06) -  The intent of the AA committee is to form 4 teams at this age group if registration numbers are sufficient and skills are considered at a AA level. The final determination of the number of U16 AA teams will not be made until tryout registration numbers are submitted and skills can be evaluated.

U19 AA - (Born 02 / 03 / 04) - The intent of the AA committee is to form three (3) teams at the U19 age level. The final determination of the U19 team formation will not be made until tryout registration numbers are submitted and skills can be evaluated.

The 2020/21 AA tryouts will be coordinated by Ringette Manitoba's AA Committee, in a central manner to ensure consistent evaluation of all athletes.

After tryouts are complete and teams formed, all athletes who were not selected will be required to return to their home Local Association. If a player is selected to play on a team outside of their catchment area and the player declines to play, they will not be selected to another AA team and will return to their home Local Association. Registrants will need to indicate whether they would be willing to play for a AA team outside of their catchment area to avoid situations where athletes decline to play after being selected for a team from a different AA Organization. It is the intent of the AA committee to allow all AA evaluated players to have the opportunity to be selected for an AA team.
